Apr. 12th, 2013 07:49 amI am pretty certain that I have a sinus infection. It came on rather quickly and so many people told me it might be allergies (despite the fact that I haven’t had a single allergy since moving to Virginia 14 years ago) so I stopped by Walgreens on my way in to get allergy medicine.
Good Lord. That stuff is *expensive*! I bought generic, store brand Zyrtec – 5 pills for 10 dollars! I cannot imagine if I were/am a real seasonal allergy sufferer. Some of the packages I saw were 35$! Holy cow. They really, really gouge poor allergic folks.
I googled Sinus Infection v. Allergies when I got to work (after taking Wal-tech or Zyr-Wal, whatever it is) and now I’m still 99% convinced it is a sinus infection. Nothing like that to remind you that you still owe your doctor from your last visit. I need to pay that bill. Sigh.
At least it is Friday? My last meeting ends at 1:00 and I am going home to crash. I didn’t sleep at all last night because my sinuses hurt. When I did finally fall asleep, we had wicked storms. Then Nicole came to bed and yelled at the dogs and made a huge racket and left the door open so a cat got in and she had to chase the cat under the bed and… and… well, suffice it to say I was good and awake for two hours after she’d dozed off peacefully. Crankpants, that’s me!
Though I somehow managed to shower and get to work on time, even with a stop at Walgreens. I wanted to buy some of my old moisturizer because it has SPF in it – but it was 17$! Man. Being pretty and healthy isn’t cheap, is it?
