Brooks ate an apple for dinner last night. That’s all he wanted. He sat on the couch and gnawed on it for an hour before it was time to go to bed. Funny little dude.

Last night was my hardest run yet on the C25k program. One too many days not running in-between, I’m thinking. But with weather this week (snow and rain) and trying to figure out how to run without burdening my family is rough. Sigh.

Here’s what I love about running again:
I feel stronger already.
I feel like I look better already. My confidence is soaring.
After a run I feel like I’ve really done something just for me, for my health, and taken time to be in my own skin, with my own soul for company.
Stress is effectively busted. I come home with my legs weary, my heart pounding, and a good-tired.
I sleep better.
I can eat cookies. (And not feel toooo bad)

It is snowing outside right now. Alternating between flurries and big fluffy flakes. Nothing is supposed to stick, of course, but it is so preternaturally pretty. I always think of the seasonal fairies from Fanstasia and see dancing fairies in all these snowflakes. Maybe it is time to introduce Fantasia to the kids – they already adore classical music since it’s usually playing all day at the sitter’s house… I think I have both editions.

Random random random. But journaling more. Yay!
