Dec. 5th, 2012 05:43 amWe got our tree! Not only that, but yesterday when I got home, I fed the boys a hearty meal that cooked all day in the crockpot, managed to facetime with my parents for the first time and THEN we packed the boys up for an adventure.
We drove down a block in our neighborhood where all the houses work together to deck out the whole block in lights. It's tacky and wonderful. It was also warm enough to roll down the boy's windows and now that they are forward-facing in my car, they got to see everything. All the "Whoa!" and pointing, "DIS!" made my night. The kids also loved the Christmas tree stand. We go to the same one every year because it is small, local and delivery is free ;) B&B walked around, captured the guys' hearts and ended up getting a free pumpkin because they both insisted on carrying pie pumpkins around while Mommy was selecting the perfect tree.
They were up late, but what a fabulous memory!
Okay, eight more working days until the end of the year for me. Go go go !
