I don’t think the wind chimes have gotten a break in days. I sat this morning for only enough time to drink half a cup of coffee and listened to the still gusty winds and the cacophony. It was 43 degrees when I left the house. I’m in layers AND there is wind outside. My toes are cold. Hello, winter.

One of the highlights of my fall has been a fire-red sugar maple that I pass on the way home after getting the boys. The owners of the tree let the leaves all pile up in the yard like a calico quilt. After Sandy, the tree is stripped bare and all the leaves in the yard are gone. Nature’s own leaf blower, I guess.

We are still trying to decide whether we want to find some indoor trick or treating or venture out into the wind/cold/snow/rain… if that is indeed the way the weather is going to stack up.

This week has been a weird week. Nothing seems normal.

I see all these entries about the new friendslist and the RAWR associated with it. I haven’t clicked the link because I like things the way that they are and I am terrified to pop over, take a look, want to get back and not know how.

I have a dreamwidth account that I’ve been holding on to just in case of LJ apocalypse – I’m dreamsrundeep over there, too. Not saying that this is the apocalypse, but hey.

One thing that was super quick and easy that I did NOT know you could do: Import all your journal content from LJ to Dreamwidth. It was easy-peasy. So, one of my main reasons for not leaving LJ has been overcome.
