Nov. 8th, 2012 05:54 amWhen I left work on Tuesday, it felt like snow.
The mornings have belonged to wood smoke, haze, frost, and crows. The days have that wan, filtered sunlight that speak to winter.
It's hard to believe that in two weeks we will be headed to Texas for Thanksgiving.
And then my birthday.
And then Christmas.
And then the boys will be two.
I am surrounded by sleeping cats. Winston, Ellie, Ivy, Charlotte, Chesapeake and Smooshy. You can always tell when the weather is shifting because the cats all become snugglers.
I have a heavily extroverted day planned and I'm trying not to let thinking about it exhaust me before it starts. I have to take a shower, somehow find a good outfit, and get out the door at a reasonable time so that I can get my life together before this day-long meeting starts. Note to self: Time to spend some money on work clothes.
