Oct. 18th, 2012 05:55 amI think Nicole's birthday was a success! Coffee and donuts delivered for her in the morning, flowers delivered to work, favorite cupcakes acquired from favorite cupcake shop, presents and a delicious take-out dinner from our favorite date-night place. And tonight - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals! And no work tomorrow! Man, when we celebrate her birthday, we do a good job.
We also took the boys to their overdue 18 month appointment yesterday. We now have medical proof that Brooks is *huge*. When the doctor says things like, "I mean, LOOK at his FEET!" and "I'd be nice to him, Brenner!" - you know he's a big kid. "There's a lot of Brooks," He said as we were looking at him standing by his brother in their diapers in the exam room. He's proportionate, but the doctor also called him a "Linebacker". Nicole and I got a lot of giggles about it later. Brenner is 24 pounds and in the 50% percentile. Brooks is 33 pounds and in the 97th. Brooks is officially on skim milk, too. Big boy. But I have huge men in my family - we're talking TALL. Six foot six, six foot seven tall. And lots of football players. And then there is my mom's side: Dark, small, broody, celtic leaning Dutchmen. Brenner.
Ramble ramble.
