(no subject)

Oh, Tuesday. You left my heart feeling a little battered and bruised. In fact, probably the best thing that I can say about yesterday is that I woke up breathing this morning. I watched fireflies by myself at the park as dusk fell last night until the mosquitoes almost made a buffet of me and I turned home reluctantly.

So, what do I do when I feel this way?


I make lists of things I love right now:

1) Two beautiful sunshiny days in June that weren’t sweltering
2) Driving with NPR on and the windows down
3) Also driving while a good song is on, yep
4) A good shower
5) That last cup of coffee
6) The flirty cafeteria guys always making you feel good about your day, your hair, and your outfit choices ;) (Seriously, someone rein those guys in! But not until after they’ve complimented me for the day…)
7) Having a job
8) Getting an in-person interview for a promotion after two pre-interview rounds! YES.
9) Getting to buy new shoes for said interview
