Work weary week. Soooo ready for the weekend.

I actually went running yesterday. On the road. Pushing the double stroller. It hurt. But in a good way. I tend to avoid road-running these days because of knees/shins that seem to hate it, but it felt fun. I don’t know if I will ever be a regular runner again – but it was a nice change of work-out pace for me. I feel strong today, but I know enough of working out to know that tomorrow will be the day I really feel it!

I took the boys all the way to a new park and they had a blast. Brenner is such a little flirt-face – he walked up to three girls and spent his entire time at the park allowing them to adore him, talk to him and play with him. Brooks was really awkwardly distracted by a tall man with a cowboy hat and aviator sunglasses. He spent a lot of time walking right up to him, throwing his head back and staring straight up at him.

Thursday nights are my alone nights with the boys and some Thursday nights do NOT go well. But yesterday was a breeze. A long run, a hard play at a new park, a bunch of cuddle time on the couch, breakfast for dinner, and then right off to bed with no fight. I got to take a looooong hot shower and grab a few minutes of quiet to myself, too. Precious, precious time!

Nana arrives today! Vacation begins today!
