The boys are home with me again today! The sitter's son is sick, now. Eeek. Better keep them home and hope we have healthy littles for Christmas rather than send them and expose them to germs even more. (Even though I know in my head that they are probably already exposed and we just need to rest and snuggle just in case.)

This is an iron-cast day, the type of cold gray that makes you feel like you are perched on the edge of snow. It is also Nicole's late day, so we had time this morning to bundle up and take a walk. We've been missing physical activity outdoors with these kids! It started to sleet right as we hit the end of the block, but stopped quickly enough that we pressed on. Nothing like little red noses and invigorating chill! It made me thankful to walk back into the warm house, serve a warm and yummy lunch and then try to put the boys down for their nap.

Brooks spent the morning drowsy and now all he's doing is yelling and talking in his crib. Nap time, kid! Close those heavy eyes that I had a hard time keeping open this morning! Sheesh.

Brenner is now saying choo choo train and Christmas tree. Brooks still pretends to know nothing and then sees something like an apple and shouts, "Apple!" out of the blue. Then he won't repeat it and makes you wonder if he actually said it... Kids.

(Oh, please go to sleep, kids!)
